Pre Procedure Instructions:
DO NOT use any blood thinners such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen (Advil), Midol, Excedrin, Motrin, Naproxen or Aleve for 7 days prior to treatment. Use Tylenol instead. Stop taking Omega 3 and Fish Oil Supplements 1-2 weeks prior to treatment. Avoid caffeine the day of procedure (coffee/tea). Void drinking Alcohol several days prior to appointment. Dress comfortable and bring a sweater in case temperatures are chilly. You may want to eat before arriving.
EYEBROWS:
Fill in Eyebrows as you normally would draw them to appointment. Bring Eyebrow pencil or powder you use to appointment.
· Avoid retinol, acids, anti-aging or acne products on the area being treated.
· Avoid tanning for 2 weeks before the appointment.
· Avoid tweezing, waxing, or threading brows 3-5 days before the appointment.
EYELINER:
· Line your eyes as to how you want your Eyeliner to be tattooed, but not required.
· Remove lash extensions at least 2 days before the appointment.
· If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before procedure, so bring a contact case and eye glasses if needed for driving, etc.
· Avoid lash enhancement serums for several weeks before the appointment.
LIPS:
(IMPORTANT – IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF HAVING COLD SORES OR FEVER BLISTER BREAKOUTS ON YOUR LIPS OR EVEN ONCE, YOU MUST TAKE A PRESCRIPTION “Valtrex (Brand) or Acyclovir (Generic)” 5-7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE LIP TATTOOING.
· Bring your favorite lipstick color to appointment.
· You may have a Dental Block injected by a dentist prior to appointment for more comfort throughout the tattooing procedure.
Post Care Instructions:
What to Expect:
· Following the procedure, your Brows will be 20-60% darker, bolder and more solid than what your healed result will present.
· There may be minimal to no swelling.
· You will keep the Brows moist for 3-days ONLY following the procedure by applying a thin film of ointment over the tattooed area. Ointment will be provided to you by technician.
· The tattoo will begin to form a crust by day 3-4 and will begin to shed (flake) starting about day 3-4 through day 9-10. As the crust detaches from the area you will see a lighter shade of color. This is normal.
· DO NOT SATURATE BROWS IN WATER. IF THEY GET A LITTLE WET, GENTLY PAT DRY.
· MOST IMPORTANT…. DO NOT FORCE OR PICK CRUST OFF OR YOU WILL PULL COLOR OUT OF THAT AREA.
· Once the crust has come off, your eyebrow area may feel a little dry and itchy. You may apply ointment to soothe the itchiness. DO NOT SCRATCH THEM!
EYELINER:
What to Expect
· This can vary from slightly puffy to swollen eyelids; light-sensitive and possibly bloodshot eyes.
· You will keep the Eyelids moist up to 9-10 days following the procedure by applying a thin film of ointment over the tattooed area. Apply with a lightly dampened Q-tip. Ointment will be provided to you by technician.
· IMPORTANT: NO MASCARA OR EYE MAKE-UP OR EYELASH GROWTH PRODUCTS ON TATTOOED EYELIDS UNTIL COMPLETELY HEALED (9-10 DAYS FOLLOWING PROCEDURE).
· It’s advisable to sleep in an elevated position to help reduce swelling at night. You may take Benadryl Allergy (Antihistamine) that may help some with oozing and swelling.
· Eyes will be swollen and perhaps a bit ‘crusty’ upon waking. Swelling may last 3-4 days average. The swelling will reduce after being in an upright position and from blinking and increased circulation to the area. Avoid heavy lifting, physical exertion, and crying.
· The eyeliner tattoo will begin to flake off in little pieces, although some people do not notice the exfoliation. DO NOT PICK or rub your eyes as you will pull the pigment out and end up with uneven color or no color.
· By 9-10 days all shedding (flaking) should be complete. You are safe to put your face back in the shower spray and begin wearing your eye makeup. It is a good idea to use a new tube of mascara.
· If you need to touch your eyes GENTLY use a clean lightly wet cotton swab. Touching your eyes with your fingers, unclean cotton swabs, old products or other, may result in an eye infection, corneal abrasion or pink eye.
· Do not apply individual lashes or strip eyelashes to the eyelash area until completely healed.
· Do not wear contacts for 24-48 hours while eyes are irritated post procedure. If eyes are irritated beyond 48 hours do not use contacts until healed
.
· If your eyeball is red or there is puss in the corners you may contact an Optometrist (eye doctor) as you made need a prescription antibiotic ointment/drops. Applying this ointment/drops into your eyes should not affect the healing results of the tattooed eyeliner.
LIPS:
What to Expect:
· Following the procedure, you lips may look a bit dramatic as color will be much darker than your final result.
· Expect swelling up to 3-4 days following the procedure. You may use a cold pack to help reduce swelling if needed. Frozen peas in a zip lock bag is a good recommendation.
· If you carry the herpes virus and did not take an anti-viral medication 5-7 days prior to the tattooing you will have a high chance of breaking out with cold sores/blisters approx. day 3 following the procedure.
· Keep lips moist with a fine film of ointment (Bacitracin, Aquaphor or Vitamin A & D) up to 10-14 days. Your technician will give you ointment if needed.
· A crust will form around day 3 and will begin to peel. Crust will be completely peeled off lips in approx. 5-7 days.
· Drink liquids through a straw up to 5 days. Do not eat citrus fruits and juices, greasy, salty, oily or spicy foods. Do not drink hot liquids (coffee/tea) up to 7 days following procedure.
· After eating and brushing your teeth, use a dampened paper towel to blot lips and then re-apply ointment. DO NOT PICK dry healing crust or it will remove the pigment color.
· Do not bleach your teeth while your lips are healing.
· Do NOT smoke while your lips are healing.
· Treat your lips gently and with care. No kissing, rubbing or friction until the crust has come off the lips and is totally healed (7-10 days).
· Once all the crust has flaked off the lips, they will appear approx. 60-70% lighter. It will take up to 8 weeks to see your final color result. You will see more depth in the color resurface each week up to approx. 8 weeks to see your final result.

** For all “Post” procedures: No direct sun, sauna, steam, hot yoga, tanning beds, jacuzzi, swimming in pools or in the ocean 7-10 days (until area is completed healed).
